Former referee Martin Clark wins Clydesdale Sports Council Celeb-Am golf event
EX-FOOTBALL referee Martin Clark ‘blew away’ the opposition at Monday’s 25th annual Clydesdale Sports Council Celeb-Am golf event.
The former whistler ‘carded’ a superb stableford score of 45 points at Lanark Golf Club, eight better than individual celebrity runner-up George McCluskey, the ex-Celtic and Hibs striker.
“Martin played extremely well to win the Joe Baker Trophy,” said event organiser Colin McKendrick of Clydesdale Sports Council.
“He made two birdies which counted as net eagles.”
Clark also won the team event with a Clyde Valley Hackers squad also including Ross Leggatt, Stuart Shiels and Ronnie Cromwell.
