Championship places secured

MEMBERS of Jim Love's taekwondo school have booked themselves a place in the World Championships.

The students recently took part in the WKA Scottish Championships in Wishaw, where they picked up an impressive collection of trophies, and qualified for the world event, which takes place in Edinburgh later this year.

Sean Tuohy and Shannon Inglis won first place in the continuous sparring, with David Craighead taking second place in the same event.

The group were all place in the point stop sparring, including Ryan Inglis who took third, Robert Croy with a first place and Evan Hoy, who also won a first in his first-ever competition.

The Jim Love School of Taekwondo trains at the Tryst Sports Centre on Mondays and Wednesdays, 6-7 p.m. for children and 7-8 p.m. for adults.
