CLYDE midfielder Neil McGregor hopes to return to action on Saturday against Livingston and admits the Bully Wee can't afford to keep going behind as they have done in all three of their league games this campaign.
McGregor injured his knee in the opening league match with Morton, but hopes to return to training this week and has a slim chance of playing on Saturday.
He said: "It may be another week or so as its a strained medial ligament in the same knee I've had operated on so it just needs time to heal.
"I never thought much about it at the time as while I realised I'd twisted it a bit against Morton it didn't give way and just felt a bit sore until the Monday after the game when I went to training and realised something was wrong.
"However, I hope to be able to start jogging again before the Livingston game and we'll see how it holds up. I don't want to come back too soon and reinjure it, I'd rather wait until everything feels right."
With McGregor absent, Clyde put in a awful performance for a hour on Saturday and were fortunate that Ross County appeared to think the game was won at 2-0 and somehow Clyde got back on levels terms.
McGregor said: "We have got to do a lot better in our home games and we're very lucky to still be unbeaten at Broadwood.
"The fitness levels of the squad are a lot better and we have managed to come back into games after going behind but we simply can't afford to keep giving ourselves such a uphill struggle in every game."
In the early stages only David Hutton in the Clyde goal prevented Ross County from running up a cricket score as he denied Steven Craig twice and Paul Lawson before Craig opened the scoring in 17 minutes.
A Lawson corner was flicked on by David Winters and Craig was at the back post to crash the ball into the roof of the net.
Two minutes later it was 2-0 as Mark brown fouled Richard Hart at the edge of the box and Scott Morrison curled home a brilliant free kick.
With Clyde creating absolutely nothing manager John Brown decided to change tactics at half time sending on Ricky Waddell for Roddy MacLennan and reverting to 3-5-2 from 4-4-2.
On 61 minutes Clyde managed to force a corner and while it came to nothing it obviously increased County manager Derek Adam's confidence as on 65 minutes he took off Craig and Winters.
This was all the invitation Clyde needed and two minutes later had pulled one back as Dave McKay set up Ruari MacLennan to skip into the box and squeeze the ball into the far corner.
Stuart Kettlewell had two efforts wide as Clyde finally looked like a team and eight minutes from time got an unforeseen equaliser as Waddell's free kick was flicked on by Pat Clarke and dropped past a static Tony Bullock.
Despite the point Clyde are still without a win after three games but will be hoping to put that right against Livingston at Almondvale on Saturday when they will welcome back club captain Marvyn Wilson after a three league game ban.
The Bully Wee don't have to wait long for a repeat meeting with Ross County as they've been drawn to face each other at Broadwood in the third round of the Alba Challenge Cup on Sunday, September 7.
