Salvation Army hall set for major refurbishment
Stephen and Joanna Moir of the Salvation Army
CUMBERNAULD’S Salvation Army hall is set for a major six-figure renovation.
The corps is to move out of its premises in Clouden Road to allow for expansion and renovation works planned for completion in the summer.
The project is part of a multi-million pound investment which will also see re-development of Salvation Army halls in Bellshill and Glasgow city centre.
Local Salvation Army leaders Lieutenants Joanna and Stephen Moir intend to continue on a “business as usual” basis, using Kildrum Primary School and Kildrum Parish Church as temporary venues.
“We’ve been trying to get a new building in Cumbernauld for around 15 years,” said Joanna.
