Band’s ‘perfect’ benefit gig
Perfect Remedy hand over the cheque to Strathcarron fund-raiser Jim Brown (second right) at Cumbernauld Theatre
STRATHCARRON Hospice is more than £4000 better off thanks to the efforts of a local band.
Back in November, Perfect Remedy held a benefit gig at Cumbernauld Theatre and are so delighted with its success that they plan to do another one.
Manger John Gough said: “It was a brilliant gig, we didn’t expect to raise this much. Our thanks go to everyone who helped make this a success. We had a great time and we’d very much like to do another one this year if we can get the use of the theatre again.”
The band – Arch Fisher, John O’Donnell, Wullie McKeown, Paul Gribbin and Kenny Kiernan – played a variety of classic covers and were supported by 17-year-old Calum Wilson and the Beatin’ Generals. This event marked their Cumbernauld Theatre debut.
