Band celebrates ‘Christmas bonus’
Croy Silver Band, who have received funding from the Coalfield Regeneration Trust.
CHRISTMAS has come early for Croy Silver Band after they secured an incredible £10,000 grant to ensure they continue to hit the right note with their performances.
The money, from the Coalfields Regeneration Trust, will be used to replace drums in the band’s aging percussion section, to buy new uniforms and to run training sessions for members.
The popular group perform regularly at events through North Lanarkshire and beyond, and this cash injection comes just at the right time.
Secretary of the silver band, Danny Brady, said: “This grant will make a huge difference to the band.”
