RENOWNED children's author Dame Jacqueline Wilson is coming to Kilsyth.

The writer, who has penned award winning books such as Double Act, Girls In Love, Vicky Angel and The Story of Tracy Beaker, will visit the town to promote her new book Little Darlings.

The event has been organised by Scotia Books and will take place in Kilsyth Academy on March 25 at 6pm.

Dame Wilson last month pipped JK Rowling and Dan Brown to be named the most loaned author of the last decade.

Tickets cost 2.50 and can be purchased from Scotia Books on Register Road.
