Mobile testing unit in Carluke
NHS Lanarkshire and South Lanarkshire Council decided to take action, following a recent rise in the number of Covid-19 cases in the area.
The site will be open to the public from today (Wednesday, April 21), seven days a week from 9.30am to 5pm.
People with or without symptoms can get tested.

New coronavirus cases in South Lanarkshire increased for the first time in a month last week.
Figures published by Public Health Scotland revealed there were 148 new cases of the virus between Saturday, April 10, and Friday, April 16 – up 16.5 per cent on the previous week.
However, case numbers remain at levels last seen in September 2020 after 0.46 cases were recorded for every 1000 residents last week.

Hide AdCarluke South recorded the highest number of new cases after 11 positive tests were confirmed, with the highest rate of new cases at 3.24 per 1000 residents.
Across South Lanarkshire, 62 of the 82 neighbourhoods recorded fewer than three new cases last week – down from 66 in the previous week.
